ARMS Counseling Guidelines and Procedures

LOG-IN as an Advisor in ARMS Staff

Login in ARMS-Staff: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=arms-sll (also available in University website: http://www.sct.edu.om/)

From the Navigation Menu: Go to Advisor

From the Advisor page, click the advisee counselling button

To create New Counselling, click the button

From the counselling detail page, select one of your advisee

Fill-up the counselling form and click create

Counseling is created shown in advisee counselling page. Click the pencil icon to proceed in counseling master detail page.

From the counseling master detail form region, click add row then select the purpose/type from the select list

Complete the detail discussions between the student and advisor, write the advisor recommendation, and by default the status is “Refer to Advisor” then click the save button.

Note: Incase the student wanted to speak to HOD, advisor may refer to the select list status referrals otherwise “Completed” then click save button and back to advising counseling page.

Search the student ID of the recent created counsel report.

From the Advisee counseling page will show the detail report created and the status (assuming it was referring to HOD). Advisor can send the email to his advisor by clicking the action button of counselling report and select Download.

Send the report to your advisor and complete all email credentials /details/attachments shown below then click send:

An e-mail Notification will be receiving by the recipients.

LOG-IN as a Student in ARMS Student

From the Navigation menu, click the counseling

Counseling Report page shown in table format. Click the pencil icon to open the advisor report form master details created by his/her advisor including the status. Student may submit a rating an optional rating the click apply changes.

LOG-IN as a HOS/HOD/Councilor/Registrar/ADAA/Dean in ARMS Analytics

Assuming login as HOD

Home page of Advisor Report shown once it is successfully logged-in then click the referrals from the navigation menu.

Student List referrals to HOD page shown then click one student to show the detail counseling report refer to him/her.

Student Council Detail form page shown:

Update the form by entering comments/status then apply changes.

Otherwise update status referral such revert back to advisor or Completed, or referral to ADAA.

Supposed it was referring to ADAA, an email need to be created from the action button and to be send to the recipient.

To check the referral Report, click on the reports from the navigation menu. Referral report page shows the statistics and detail student counseling transaction from the button region.
