E-LEARNING: An Online Reference for Web Site Construction

My study is based on the idea that the WEB COOK BOOK: An Online Reference for Web-Site Construction will be developed to understand the concepts in an area of Web-Based design which helps the learner the simplest task towards more advanced techniques. Many software is been developed to create an HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language) file editor for Web-Based prototype and books that served as a referenced information about the step-by-step procedure and where to find tools and hints to help one further developed and expand Web presentation but only few of these are presented online.

This is the reason why the researcher was attracted to develop this particular Web Site because of the difficulties in learning the theory behind the information on the World Wide Web and to create and published your information online.

With the proposed study, WEB COOKED BOOK: An Online Reference for Web-Site Construction information and the process of creating a simple and dynamic HTML can be made easier. The Web-Site will contain the concept of designing which includes sample source code, graphics and provides updated information about where to find tools and hints to help and expand one’s Web presentation.

1.1       Introduction

The World Wide Web, or simply the “Web” for short, is one of the most popular services provided via the Internet. At its best, it combines the appeal of exploring exotic destinations with the excitement of playing a video, listening to a music CD, or even directing a movie, and you can do it all by means of an intuitive, easy to use, graphical user interface or GUI. Probably the most appealing aspect of the Web, however, is the fact that it isn’t just for spectators. Once you have experience with Web “authoring tools”, you can publish yourself – and offer over the Web anything you want to make available, from your company’s latest research results to your own documentary on the lives of the rich and famous.

The Web is the collection of all browsers, servers, files, and browser-accessible services available through the Internet. As what as Tim Berners-Lee created it in1989; its original purpose was to facilitate communication between research scientist. Berners-Lee, working at the Conseil Europeen poiur la Recherche Nucleaire (CERN), the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, located in Geneva, Switzerland, designed the Web in such a way that documents on one computer on the Internet could provide links to documents located on the other computer on the Internet.1

The Internet is a system that lets computers all over the world communicate to each other. If you have access to a computer, a modem, and a phone line, chances are you can use “the Net”.

The Internet brings together the best qualities of the communication systems that proceeded it while improving some of their features such as post mail, telephone, fax machine, public library, and the newspapers. Other quality that makes the Internet so compelling to “surf” includes the following feature, which affects the lives of people. It’s democratic nature. Its capability to let people communicate even if they are never at their computers at the same time. Its basis in text which forcing people to communicate in writing. It’s relatively low cost to use. Its lack of geographic boundaries Its capacity to bring together people with similar interest, and its offers an instant gratification.

The Internet provides several basic services such as electronic mail or E-mail, news groups, mailing list, access to files from remote computers, the capability to log on to other computers on the “Net”, online database searching/Tutorials and lots of more that makes people link to the World Wide Web.

The use of computers in educational training has greatly helped the students in the learning process and educators in the teaching process. This due to may factors computer software has that greatly influence and any one who is using them. For instance, one of the factors that influence the users is the availability of the graphics or images those gives conceptual views of a certain topic of interest of the user. This provides the user to a fast understanding and analysis of a topic.             In educational field, Internet approaches to educate users to a variety of information’s which led to the new kind of information system that have been used to promote an interaction between users and the computer. This has served a very effective approached of teaching individuals instead of mere text-based interfacing. The inclusion of link-based information has also improved the technology of the computer-based teaching not only through the Internet but also from the stand-alone interactive and informative software.
